J. Mark Goode, President/CEO
Mark Goode has held board positions in 7 companies and non-profit organizations. He has been the Director of the Oak Ridge Design Center for Flextronics as well as the Director of the FORGE Team, a high end customer solutions oriented ASIC task force. Mark co-founded ASIC International, Inc. (Ai) in 1993 and served as VP of Engineering. Over a seven year period, Ai became a leader in ASIC design services with over 50 engineers by the time it was sold to Flextronics in May of 2001. Mark is described as a serial entrepreneur having founded and assisted multiple successful companies and organizations. He holds a Bachelor in Music from University of Miami, a Masters in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Masters in Business Administration from Wharton at University of Pennsylvania.
Lynn Hayden, Chairman of the Board
Lynn Hayden is responsible for leading the company and its business growth worldwide, and continues to serve as chairman of ViASIC’s board of directors, a position he has held since January 2006; he joined the board in September 2003. Hayden brings to this executive position more than 20 years of visionary market insight and a demonstrated track record in expanding technology businesses.
Prior to ViASIC, Hayden served for 20 years as president and CEO of Coiltronics, a company he founded in 1977 while a student at Central Michigan University and sold to a large multinational corporation in 1997. Under his direction, it grew from a small regional supplier of relay coils to an international manufacturer and supplier of high-frequency electromagnetic components, becoming the largest supplier of its kind in the U.S.
Bill Cox, CTO
Bill’s 15 years of industry experience includes creating tools for synthesis, technology mapping, placement and routing. His contribution to ViASIC’s technology portfolio includes over 20 software modules and 380,000 lines of code ready to be leveraged into the development of world class tools. He also has been instrumental in the development of numerous programmable logic architectures and holds 11 patents in the field.
Bill has extensive experience in start-up environments. He was the lead programmer and employee number 14 at Quick Logic, a semiconductor company developing FPGA technologies, and the first programmer (after the founder) hired by Synplicity – an EDA tool company. QuickLogic and Synplicity are now public companies.
In addition to developing EDA software, Bill also has expertise in IC design. Bill holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Kiyosi Isihara, VP of Engineering
Kiyosi has over 15 years in the IC industry, most recently as head of the worldwide Field Applications engineering team at Coventor. Prior to that he was at Avant!/ISS where he was one of the 1st AEs and worked his way up to heading the 150 person Avant! North American AE team. He started his career at IBM’s Advanced Product Development group in East Fishkill, NY where he was an Advisory Physical Design Engineer responsible for technology evaluation and high speed SRAM design methodology.
Kiyosi has degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
